Clarins Group earns prestigious B Corp™ Certification

Clarins Group, including its brands Clarins and myBlend, has been awarded the globally respected B Corp™ certification, recognising its commitment to balancing profit with purpose. This places Clarins among a select group of large companies meeting high standards of social and environmental responsibility.

Family-owned since 1954, Clarins has long prioritised sustainability, transparency, and ethical practices. Key achievements include a 48 per cent reduction in carbon emissions (2019–2024), 98 per cent freight transported without air, and plans for 80 per cent organic plant-based ingredients by 2025. By 2030, one-third of its ingredients will come from regenerative farms.

Clarins also champions gender equality, with women holding 62 per cent of top management roles, and supports 23 fair trade channels. Its social impact includes 45 million school meals donated and decades-long support for children’s and arthritis foundations. With all products made in France and over 250 quality checks, Clarins continues to set benchmarks in responsible beauty.

Keratin products market set to double by 2035

The global keratin products market is projected to more than double by 2035, rising from US$ 1,776.2 million in 2023 to US$ 3,679.2 million, at a CAGR of 6.3 per cent. Driven by rising demand for smooth, frizz-free and healthy hair, keratin has become a key ingredient in shampoos, serums, masks, and salon treatments. North America and Europe currently dominate, but the Asia-Pacific region is emerging rapidly, thanks to rising incomes and beauty awareness in India, China and Japan.

Clean and personalised beauty trends are fuelling demand for sulphate-free, vegan and cruelty-free keratin products. E-commerce and social media are further accelerating adoption globally. Despite factors encouraging growth, challenges remain. High production costs and health concerns around formaldehyde are prompting brands to explore plant-based, safer alternatives.

Cosmetic packaging market to reach new heights by 2034

Valued at US$ 58.8 billion in 2024, the global cosmetic packaging market is expected to grow at a 4.2 per cent CAGR from 2025 to 2034. A major growth driver is the booming e-commerce industry. As online cosmetic purchases surge, so does the need for packaging that offers both protection and aesthetic appeal. Other key growth drivers include the rise in premium, personalised cosmetic products, sustainable packaging innovations, and technological advancements.

As the market grows, sustainability continues to reshape it. Consumer preferences are inclining towards biodegradable, recyclable and refillable packaging. In response, brands are adopting eco-friendly airless designs, QR code-enabled smart packaging, and lightweight high-barrier materials to grab attention. Companies focused on combining innovation with sustainability are well-positioned to lead the next era of cosmetic packaging.
