KRYOLAN PROFESSIONAL UNVEILS ACADEMY OF BEAUTY WITH CREATIVITY
On 14th February 2026, Kryolan Professional announced the launch of the Academy of Beauty With Creativity (ABC Academy) in Mumbai, marking a structured entry into professional makeup education in India.
According to Wolfram Langer, Director, Kryolan Professional, the academy responds to increasing demand from artists seeking comprehensive, structured education rather than short-term seminars. With longstanding engagement across film, television, and theatre globally, Kryolan identified the need to align professional-grade products with formalised skill development. He referenced Germany’s recognised “mask designer” qualification, which integrates beauty, prosthetics, hair and special effects, as a conceptual influence adapted into modular formats for India.
Manish Jha, CEO, Kryolan India emphasised that the academy would prioritise depth over scale. The initial 20-day master programme will operate in small batches, focusing on classroom practice and close mentorship to prepare students for competitive industry environments. Klaudia Loretti, COO, Kryolan India noted that the curriculum is designed to strengthen technical mastery beyond product familiarity. Courses will cover foundational techniques alongside advanced modules in fashion, bridal, airbrush, prosthetics, illusion and SFX.
Allen John, CEO, ABC Academy Powered by Kryolan added that employability remains central to the academy’s framework. Structured modules and defined learning outcomes aim to prepare artists for film, television, fashion, and international assignments.
With ABC Academy, Kryolan Professional positions itself within India’s expanding creative education landscape, focusing on structured training and industry readiness.
INDUSTRY IMMERSION AT LTA SCHOOL OF BEAUTY
On 12th February 2026, LTA School of Beauty hosted a guest lecture by Sareena Acharya, National Technical Head, Cavinkare Professional, at its Thane centre. The session saw full student participation, reflecting the institution’s continued emphasis on direct engagement with industry leaders.
The interaction carried added significance as Achaya began her own professional journey at LTA. Her return to address current students created a moment of continuity between learning and leadership, offering both perspective and direction.
During the session, she underscored that technical proficiency alone does not define a successful beauty professional. Describing the sector as a “touch business,” she explained that services require entering a client’s personal space with awareness and sensitivity. She emphasised the importance of empathy, noting that professionals must care for a client’s emotions as much as their hair or skin.
Biju Nair, Co-Founder, LTA School of Beauty, observed that such sessions help bridge classroom training with real-world expectations. He noted that exposure to experienced professionals enables students to understand performance standards beyond textbooks. Vaishali Shah, Founder, LTA School of Beauty, added that alumni returning as industry leaders reflect the institution’s long-term training framework.
Through initiatives like this, LTA School of Beauty continues to integrate structured education with practical industry engagement.
COMPASSION IN ACTION: THE BEAUTY AND WELLNESS COMMUNITY UNITE TO SUPPORT CANCER SURVIVORS
The second edition of the Beautiful Hearts Fund initiative, held on 6 March 2026 in collaboration with Tata Memorial Hospital, brought together the beauty and wellness community to support cancer survivors through a day dedicated to care, confidence, and emotional renewal. Over 80 volunteer professionals from the hair, makeup, nail, and wellness sectors contributed their time and expertise, working closely with hospital teams to ensure that services were delivered safely, sensitively, and in line with clinical protocols. Survivors experienced personalised care sessions that offered not only aesthetic support but also moments of comfort, connection, and positivity.
Blessing A Manikandan, Founder, Beautiful Hearts Fund, said, “Beautiful Hearts Fund is about reminding survivors that their strength, dignity, and beauty go far beyond their illness. It is a celebration of the courage it takes to reclaim life after cancer.” Commenting on the event, Dr Ankita, Tata Memorial Hospital, said, “Creating spaces where survivors feel supported and celebrated can make a meaningful difference to their emotional well-being.”
The initiative reflects a broader understanding that healing extends beyond medical treatment and continues to demonstrate how collaborative efforts between healthcare institutions and community professionals can meaningfully support survivors as they rebuild confidence and move forward in their recovery journeys.
