Retail Sales added as new skill category at WorldSkills International
WorldSkills International has introduced Retail Sales as a competitor category for the first time in its 75-year history. The move recognises retail as a professional career pathway within beauty and wellness, as product consultation, recommendation, and enabling informed consumer purchases especially in personal care require specialised competencies. The change reflects rising demand for skilled retail professionals. It also aligns India with global standards in retail education and employment.
