CELEBRATING INDIA’S WIN AT GLOBAL TRENDVISION 2025

Shillong-based hairdresser Lalruattluanga brought home the coveted Color Visionary award at the TrendVision 2024–25 Grand Finale in Malta. As Team India rejoiced, it called for a grand celebration in honour of the artist and his history-making win. Pravesh Saha, General Manager, Wella India & South Asia, hosted an evening of celebration and camaraderie as Wella passionistas and technical experts, gathered together along with top artists from around the country to applaud Lalruattluanga’s achievement. The guest list included Sumit Malkotia, Vipul Chudasma, Kanta Motwani, Savio John Perira, Natasha Naegamwala, Nikhil Sharma, Placid Braganza, Elton Steve Vassoakar, Bony Sasidharan, Nitin Manchanda, Gaurav Gupta and many more. The highlight of the evening was the cake-cutting by Lalruattluanga, as industry icon Adhuna Bhabani cheered on.

SKIN EXPERT AWARDS BY RAAGA PROFESSIONALS

Raaga Professional by CavinKare organised an evening showcasing excellence in skincare as the brand announced the winners of its regional winners for The Skin Expert of India Awards. The event took place at the Pro Edge Academy in Mumbai and witnessed enthusiastic participation by the regional finalists. The event opened with an address by Chief Expert and National Jury Neha Joshi. Thereafter, testimonials of the participants were shown the to guests, giving them a glimpse into the life and struggles of the skincare experts. Sareena Acharya, Head of Education, and Oindrila Roy, Brand Manager, extolled the efforts of all the participants and outlined the vision behind the awards. All the finalists were felicitated with a participation trophy and certificate. The west regional round winners were Falguni Thakkar of Diva Salon and Academy, Surat; Anjali Mishra, AD’s Makeover Salon and Academy, Bhopal; and Nisha Vishal Patel, Eden -The Salon, Gujarat. The winners received a trophy, certificate and floral bouquet.

Founders Akash and Tina Jaiswal engaged guests personally, gathering feedback on unfiltered, packaging-free samples. The event highlighted Akara’s clean, inclusive ethos, with positive responses to products like liquid blush and matte lipsticks. Launches are expected next quarter, reflecting the brand’s skin-friendly, conscious beauty philosophy.
