L’Oréal Paris inspires women to walk their worth
Over 2,000 people from the general public attended this public outdoor runway show that took place at the École militaire––a national monument in the heart of Paris and a symbol of French excellence. The message of this year’s show, ‘Walk Your Worth,’ was designed to inspire all women, along with the brand’s family of fearless spokespeople, to unapologetically show up in the world and walk towards their destiny in confidence.
Playing on the brand’s world-renowned tagline ‘Because You’re Worth It’, these four powerful words reflect L’Oréal Paris’ longstanding commitment to supporting all women around the world.
Returning for its fifth edition since 2021, ‘Le Défilé L’Oréal Paris’ is always a made-in-Paris global rendezvous that celebrates sisterhood and empowerment. The brand’s spokespeople at ‘Le Défilé L’Oréal Paris’ included global icon Yseult who returned to the runway for her second consecutive year, along with empowered beauties Andie MacDowell, Eva Longoria and Katherine Langford, who delighted the public with their signature confidence and charisma. Other returning spokespeople at Le Défilé included Leïla Bekhti, Marie Bochet, Cindy Bruna, Gemma Chan, Nikolaj Coster Waldau, Luma Grothe, Liya Kebede, Aja Naomi King, Soo Joo Park, Camille Razat, Nidhi Sunil, and Bebe Vio.
Estee Lauder announces Nathalie Berger Duquene as GM for Balmain Beauty
The Estee Lauder Companies has announced Nathalie Berger Duquene as the Senior Vice President, Global General Manager of Balmain Beauty, effective immediately. Nathalie will be reporting to Guillaume Jesel, President, Global Brands, Tom Ford Beauty, Balmain Beauty, and Luxury Business Development.
According to Jesel, Nathalie will partner up with her and the team at Balmain to establish Balmain Beauty as the future of luxury, couture beauty. Nathalie’s experience of more than 20 years in luxury beauty marketing, makes her ideal and well suited to take on this position and help bring their new visionary luxury brand Balmain Beauty to market.
It is decided that Nathalie will lead a team in all aspects of strategy, with the anticipated launch of Balmain Beauty in 2024, concepting and innovation in collaboration with the leadership of the French fashion brand. Nathalie Berger Duquene had joined the US prestige beauty behemoth in 2019 as VP/GM, Tom Ford beauty and Kilian Paris, EMEA and most recently, she has served as SVP, Global Marketing, Tom Ford Beauty.
L’Oréal Paris U.S. launches “Red My Lips” Lipsticks in Support of Anti-Street Harassment Initiative
The global beauty brand, L’Oréal Paris U.S, has announced the launch of a new limited-edition Colour Riche lipstick “Red My Lips” in shade “Le Rouge Liberté,” as part of its Stand Up Against Street Harassment program to encourage safe bystander intervention with colour expression.
Inspired by the brand’s work with NGO partner Right to Be, the new lipstick will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from each lipstick sold to the charity partner, which will help to train more people in how to intervene in situations of street harassment safely and effectively.
Together with its international NGO partner, Right To Be, local charity partners, and global divisions of L’Oréal Paris, the beauty brand has joined forces to train everyone in the 5Ds methodology by Right To Be, through training sessions in both public spaces and online at StandUp-US.com. Together with their partners, more than 800,000 people globally have already been trained.
‘Stand Up Against Street Harassment’ training is based on the 5D methodology - an expert-approved set of tools to help onlookers safely intervene when witnessing street harassment. The 5D’s include Distract, Delegate, Document, Direct and Delay.
